My first Gold Crown refurbish

Decided to resize the pockets to 4.5". The ends of the rails were soft to I trimmed them back and added oak to extend them. The rails still had some soft wood so I chiseled that all out and filled it with oak as needed. I sanded it down smoothe but no pics.
Nice! Did you adjust the angle of the pocket openings? When pockets are reduced in size, it's sometimes necessary to alter the angle of the pocket cut so they aren't too wide. If they are too wide, you'll be left with the Olhausen Rattle. What are the pocket angles in the corners?

I cant remember the angle, but I did adjust them...Probably based on your posts. I looked at so much info...I don't even know where my notes are now.

Finally done! It took longer than i expected but it was worth it...the table shoot great. I ended up extending the subrails to 4-1/2" pockets. New feet, new pockets, new rubber, and new corner castings. I can't believe my wife agreed to put it in the living room.
