What cue grip to get..

Real elephant ear is quite simply one of the best wraps I've ever used. It has an amazing texture that both grips and defeats sweat.

I've tried goat, kangaroo, and all the random patterns you can emboss into leather and real EE is still my go to wrap for any cue I ever plan on playing with.

Great, now I want to get a cue with an EE wrap to try.
Don't do it. /s

I got a cue rewrapped with EE recently and now want more. I've got two more planned in the next six months.

This is the one you had the silver dollars put in? Looks great. I can't wait for Scott to call me about my Titlist conversion.

I have two cues with elephant ear and elephant belly wraps. Elephant belly feels much better, IMO.

But my I have 5 pool cues Cortland Linen which is vastly superior to any other linen or Cuttyhunk wrap.

Since Cortland Linen has become akin to Hen’s Teeth, if I had a cue underway, I’d use a Cork wrap.

I have a lead on some Cortland Linen but I never was aware he still had inventory besides pool tables.

Leather wraps are okay and will stand the test of time unlike cork that eventually needs replacement.

The Cortland Linen #9 on my Runde Schon is from 1985 and still feels incredible. Cortland is ageless.

I’ll add a few more thoughts on wraps - I did have one elephant ear wrap and I liked it a lot. As far as any regular leather or lizard type wrap- those all seem to get either too sticky or slick for me in wetter playing conditions.

I would really like to try cork someday!!

Cortland still my first choice - though! Seen here a custom 1/1 Viking from 1989 purchased here a few months agoIMG_3796.jpeg

I initially considered the cork for my previous cue. I wanted to replace it's wrap. Since I was having trouble servicing it. I just replaced it with another cue. 😁
