Has anybody ever had an older full splice cue and just added several ivorine trim rings in the handle? I was thinking of doing this but was looking for examples.

Segmented rings (split) can be added fairly easily. A channel is cut in the cue and the half rings are inserted and glued. Cutting the ring flush and refinishing needs to be done afterwards. A solid ring could not be added in that manner unless you are ok with seeing a glue line.
