Hey everyone! I’m the developer of Corner Pocket: World Billiards, a free-to-play 3D pool game for Windows. The full game is still in development and has not been released yet; the free demo is available now. Invite a friend for an online match, or practice against the computer.

The demo includes six rulesets, all played in the English Club hall:
• American 8-ball
• 9-ball
• Chinese 8-ball
• Brazilian Mata-8
• Russian Free Pyramid
• British Blackball

You can move the camera to line up a shot, hold to build power, and use topspin, backspin or side spin to control the cue ball.

The demo requires an internet connection and is free to try—no purchase needed. You can find it on Steam:

I’d love to hear from pool players—how do the aiming and cue-ball control feel?

No Steam. Just going by VP which I do have, the aiming sucks. Puts you back at eyeball guessing. Needs VR probably. IDK...

Thanks for the honest feedback, and fair point: judging the line by eye on a flat screen is tough. Could you tell us what felt most off: the cue ball path, the camera angle, or the lack of a guide line? We're tuning aiming right now, and this really helps.

The problem with 2D is all views are per view. I don't know how CG works but I bet if you could put the geometry in CPG and incorporate it in the simulation, you'd have math accuracy that transitions to human aim.
