Everyone,
This weekend, Sat & Sun April 17 & 18, the Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour will be in Albany, NY at the Golden Cue Billiards.
This is the 22nd edition of the "Northeast 9-Ball Open" which I began in 1989 at my own (now closed) Pro Billiard Lounge. Many of the worlds top players have competed in this event throughout the years, and this edition promises to be no exception. Our most generous host for this event is Rocco Spinelli, who deserves our thanks for once again putting up $2000 in added money and allowing us the use of his room. He is currently recovering all of his tables in Simonis just in time for our event. Thanks Rock!!
The Golden Cue is now a full service room, serving Great homemade food and has a beautiful new beer and wine bar. Along with FREE spectator admission, what more could we ask for!
This event will be the second event with our new format which is as follows. There will be a Sat & Sun $1,500 Added main event with entry fees as follows. $120 for pro level players, and $70 for non pro level players. The tournament director will make the determination of pro vs non pro. I can tell you this much, if you have ever won a Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour event or similar event, you amongst others, will definitely be pro level! On Sunday we will have a $500 added, double elimination, short race to 3 tournament for only those non pro level players that were eliminated from the main event on Saturday. The entry fee for this event is only $20!! Both events will run simultaneously on Sunday. The remaining events this season, with the exception of Turning Stone, will be played in this new format.
For those of you coming to play this weekend, please arrive on Saturday April 17 before noon in proper dress of no T-shirts, sweats, shorts or tanks.
