About a year ago, Aramith published an article on AZB about the quality of their ball sets - http://www.azbilliards.com/news/stories/11258-setting-the-record-straight-on-aramith-phenolic-balls-for-billiards-pool-and-all-cuesports/. In regards to ball weight - they state, "Aramith® has never claimed false specs. We are well within official specifications for all sets, and regarding the Super Aramith® Pro, the Centennial® and the Tournament sets, we sort all balls within each set to have less than +/- 1.5 g total tolerance."
Well in case anyone is interested, I just picked up a sweet deal on a new set of Tournaments. I weighed all the balls on a digital scale, and yup, all good! The lightest ball is 168.1 grams and the heaviest is 169.2 grams. The chart shows a scatter for each of the numbered balls.
Interesting however that the CB that came with the set is the lightest at 167.1 grams. My Measles ball is heavier and closer in weight to the ball set at 168.5 grams.
