Replace Joint on Shaft?

Can the joint threads be changed to a different pitch. For example, a 3/8-10 piloted shaft be changed to 5/16-14 piloted shaft?

It would have to be plugged and re-tapped for the new insert but yes. Local cuemaker can do it for you.
