I read today's AZBilliards cover story, "Basavich stuns Bustamante at Bicycle Club," and a few paragraphs down there was the following line: "In other winners side action, Danny Harriman forfeited in his match against Corey Deuel and was forfeited from the event based on a new rule imposed by the UPA."
There was nothing else said on the subject...
So out of total, random curiosity:
1. Why and when did the UPA make that rule? What's the logic?
2. Why did Harriman forfeit when he was on the winner's side?
3. And totally breaking away from the above story because I have no idea what happened there- I'm just thinking about the weird forfeit rule: Wouldn't you be pissed if, say, you had a perfectly legitemate reason to not be there for your match, but now you couldn't even play your spot on the loser's side?
