First, my favorite cuemaker of all time has got to be Skip Weston. He's great to deal with and his work is second to none. Flawless workmanship, the best points in the business and great playability. For those of you who have not seen his work, he uses natural hardwood for his veneers, no glue lines and sharp as a razor. Rumor has it that he will be in the next Blue Book of Pool Cues (to be published sometime this millenium) and his stock is sure to soar when that hits the street.

Second, there is a gentleman in Honolulu who makes joint protectors that I have dealt with on several occasions. His name is Alton Takata and he does great work. Very nice guy too! If you don't use joint protectors on your fine cues you should, and you should get them from Alton. He has a website with contact information.
