stroke evaluation 2

Hello everybody again.
I decided to make another video recording of my stroke from multiple angles so that it's easier for you to make a judgement on my stroke and stance. I would appreciate if you could take a look at those videos in your free time and give me some hints what should be improved.

1 link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UAq4D3zXGc -> me playing some shortened 9-ball racks.

2 link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ezp4oVycfo - me shooting from back, right side, left side and front side, respectively.

I know my timing is awful, the critique should mainly concern my stance ( which i think is not good) and stroke. A lot of missing to the right, which has afflicted me recently for some reasons.

Thanks again for any kind of feedback ! Best regards.

Hi, I would suggest you look for a good instructor in your area. Since you are in the early stages of learning now is a good time to get yourself a base of good fundamentals so as to not ingrain any bad habits.

Hi, thank you for your comment.
I do have an instructor. i have had lessons with him for 2 months once a week but he doesn't point out many drawbacks to me. Always when the ball ends in the pocket, he says everything is fine, whereas i don't feel necessarily so. He himself needs coach. And in addition, there don't seem to be many choices as far are instructors are concerned, in my area.
As for bad habits, there are already many built in.I think i will learn more from feedbacks in this forum and videotaping myself than my pseudocoach. Kind regards.

You have multiple issues; a vertical see-saw motion in your stroke, aiming to cue the ball too high, and trying to put the cue stick down on the aim line than wrapping your body around it. Get in touch with a good coach!

1.) I've written this to you before but you have ignored my advice. Your back hand is too far back on your cue. As a result, your backstroke has nowhere to go but up. This is what is causing your stroke to lift up. Your arm is not hanging straight down at impact with the cue ball. Move your grip hand slightly forward, start with an inch and then increase it by half inch increments if necessary.

2.) Take a longer pause at the cue ball with your cue stick just before you pull back for your final stroke.

3.) Take your cue back S-L-O-W-L-Y on your final stroke. This will help better your stroke timing which is currently poor.

Good luck with all the advice you're getting, both public and private.

Yes, I needn't have posted the video without introducing significant changes since last video. Working with my "coach" has messed me up, as he said my grip distance was fine. Moderators, you can delete this thread.
