Steve,

Would it be possible for you keep this thread updated between now and Jan 9th in terms of "who" will be playing and listing any sites pertaining to backgrounds/history of participants? There are quite of few folks who are not "that" familiar with 3-cushion players but are familiar with VBooking:wink:

Yesterday I drove to Hall of Fame Billiards in Warren, MI, to meet the TD, Bill Johnson. I had never been to this room and wanted to see the layout of the tables and how I would set up for the live stream. And of course to check out the all important internet connection speed.

I will have plenty of room to set up my gear with my preferred camera placement looking down the center line of the 3C table, after I figure a way to get the camera to a height of about 10-12 feet.

The WIFI internet connection upload speed turned out to be a respectable 460 kbps and should not pose a problem. I had hoped to hard wire with ethernet cable, but the office is well over 100 feet away and running the cable is not an option.

The Hall of Fame is a very nice room and I am looking forward to spending next weekend there doing this live stream. The 3C tables looked great and seemed to play very well, imho. I got a chance to get on one of the tables for about 10-15 minutes and even made several shots! Not too bad for not having hit a ball (any type) in the last several months. It has made me want to take up 3C again, we'll see if I can squeeze in the time.

Bill, if you read this, thank you for your help with project and I'll see you on the 9th.

Steve

I am going to dedicate this stream in memory of my dad, born on January 9, 1917. If he was still with us today I am sure that he would be happy to see me doing something that I really love.

Appreciate all the work you have done thus far and are about to do. If I am not mistaken, this will be the first 3-cushion live stream for us AZBers. I am excited for us and for you. I will be traveling on the ninth but I will be taking my MacBook along in hopes of getting a good signal here and there.

Hard to believe it's only four days off -- my vacation sure went fast. Thanks again Steve and I am more then just sure that your father would be happy to see you doing what you love.
