Cheap but pretty and an oldie.

I found this online locally for cheap. I was surprised at how pretty of a cue it is. Beautiful Rosewood, points are pretty even. The shaft is darker maple and weighs in at 4.5oz. It plays quite well.

It was a 45 minute drive so I decided to check the pawnshops nearby. One of them had a customer at the counter with 4 cue cases. They were all cheap cues, except a nice old Palmer. We got to chatting and apparently it was his father’s cue. He said he needed some money to fix his mom’s car. The shop couldn’t really give him any money because they couldn’t verify the cue. They passed on the cheap cues too. We ended up chatting outside and I offered to lend him the money to fix his moms car and told him I would hold on to the Palmer as collateral. I wrote out a receipt for both parties involved and gave him 60 days to pay me back. He and his mother seemed happy to get the money to fix the car. I due hope that he will call me to pay me back.
