May be a bit late, but I got a K-Tech soft and it's far softer than the Kamui Soft I had on my cue. The first day I played with it, my son said it felt like you were not even hitting the ball it absorbed so much impact. After probably 20 hours on the tip so far it plays great, still soft but not quite as soft, no mushrooming no re-shaping needed. I will say that it was put on by Mike Webb so your experience may be different depending on the installer.
