There have been speculations about the progress of the Chinese Pool U.S. Open, and we'd like to clarify the situation.

The tournament will proceed as scheduled. Our team is working 24/7 trying to present a high-standard event overseas. Right now the 128-man field has surpassed half, including some of the most celebrated players. Shane van Boening and Billy Thorpe are among them.

The prize fund has been paid in full by our sponsor or 58.com. Th. The prize money breakdown remains unchanged with a top prize of $15,000 and the winner receives a direct spot in the World Chinese Pool Masters Grand Finals.

In my opinion, the tournament is too much of a time and expense commitment.
If it was just a double elimination tournament over 3 days maybe 19-21st then I can see more players making the trip.

everyone should keep in mind it's a sattelite tournament and a shot at $15k

entry fee is beer and table time money

if you're skilled and in the area worth a shot
