2 Mariposa
I already left feedback and some tips on Kyle and Mariposa Cues but here you are for those who haven't seen.
Mariposa
15/32 in wooden diameter joint.
So, I just received an another cue that Kyle and I were working on for some time and again It is one of my favorite cues in my entire collection. The workmanship is perfect, fantastically executed butterfly points and again it plays fantastic. The balance is phenomenal as it is in the other cue he had built. Lots of energy with small amount of deflection and it is highly predictable and consistent.
As i already stated i value cues by a few things and great playability and great workmansip isn't enough for me to consider a cue as one of my favourites.
For that I need to be satisfied with a cue maker and with the way how he treats me and how he treats others.
Well, Kyle always knock all this out of the park. He even brought the cue to Europe where he went on a vacation with his family and sent it from Netherland to help me to avoid to be charged by customs.
It is hard to explain someone who hasn't met him how nice, polite, humble Kyle is and i am saying this again and again. He is a real gentleman, passionate, very warm person and a big enthusiast. In custom cue world it is very important for customers to know who is going to treat them nicely so they are not affraid of placing an order with them. From time to time we all read about some bad experiences so i want to make sure to pass my experiences on good guys to others.
Thank you Kyle Van den Bosch for everything!
A FEW TIPS ON MARIPOSA CUES & ABOUT KYLE
Kyle Van den Bosch has been involved with pool since he was a young child. His father was the owner of the Chicago Billiard Cafe which exposed Kyle to the world's best cues and players for many years. A semi pro for about ten years, he dreamt of making a living as a pro player, but knew that he would not like the lifestyle.
As a result of his woodworking hobby, Kyle became an apprentice for a Chicago area cue maker. During his first day on the job, he knew that cue making was what he wanted to pursue. Cue making allowed him to work within the sport he loved. After a year and a half of learning cue making skills, he set out to make cues on his own. This was in 1994 when he started Mariposa Cue Co.
They are easily recognizable by their 15/32 in. diameter wooden joint screws.
Mariposa cues are one-of-a-kind, custom cues hand crafted with great care using only the finest available materials. Mariposa (Spanish for butterfly) cues are named for the multi-colored "butterfly points" utilized in their higher end designs. Superior craftsmanship, excellent playability, and very limited production have allowed these cues to hold their value, year after year.
