1 piece butt

Does anyone make a one piece butt? I'm kinda in the market for an all birdseye cue. I know McDermott has on but it's not birdseye. If not 1 piece maybe all BE with nice rings seperating the peices.

Don't know about birdseye but Mike Gulyassy the maker of the sledgehammer break cue makes 1pc. butts.Kinda expensive but just like McDermott, he has a"Lifetime Warranty".Here is the website...

I build a good bit of one piece butt cues but have only built a few out of birdseye because they come out too light and have to have a huge weight bolt in the back. I try to go with woods that balance out naturally to the right weight. Pau Ferra, Some rosewoods, Purple Heart, Yellow Heart, Bubinga and the right pieces of Bocote are my favorites for one piece butts.

I've built a few, and the way I make them balance out and stay strong, and straight, is to core the upper half of the butt with a heavy wood (purpleheart or similar) and core the back with a maple plywood dowel.
