i bought a overlay cue as a gift for a friend this past year, I almost kept it, the shaft wood was amazing, lazer straight, the grain was super tight and no run-off. It had the sugar markes in it(like Eric Crisp showed me), I mean to tell ya it was one of the best hitting cues too, how that piece of wood ended up on a overlay cue is beyond me. It was that good.

on that note one thing I have noticed over the past few years is the improved quality of this type of cue, they are much better than before. I remember when they were all ramin wood or bamboo:confused: terrible things.

What you have here will be great entry level cues for people. Its great to see things imporve in pool. we need more people to buy these cues, cause it gets them into pool then they upgrade in time.

So if your on the fence about a cue, get one of these-nope I'm not on commishion here, just speaking my mind.
