12.4 revo shaft weight?

My 12.4 revo in radial is a whopping 3.70 ounces.

I almost sent it back since I think a shaft should weigh at least 4 ounces.

I wish I had!!!!

3.7 oz, 106 grams. Revo 12.4 radial

3.8 oz, 107 grams. 314-3 radial

4.2 oz, 119 grams. BeCue Prime M, 12.0 radial. Shaft is 29.5” long.

Rake, I’ll sell you my Prime M or trade for Revo.

Jim

Interesting on the slight weight differences for the same shafts. I would have thought one of the advantages of the CF shafts is that they are manufactured to tight tolerances. I'll have to check my two R12.9's.

Just got off the phone with PoolDawg as I was asking them about this very issue. Per their Predator rep, the weight variances are due to the foam they use for each shaft (as I got this part is not mechanically controlled).

"New Excuse Alert"!!!!: I missed 'cause my shaft didn't have enough foam. Can't EVER have enuff good excuses. ;)

I may be selling my revo soon but it will come as the following:

Predator LE roadline5 with combo butt extensions from BRomine cues

Predator butt extension and predator weight kit.

and

Predator BK Rush

Not sure on price point or even if I'm gonna sell but if/when I do they will go together or not at all.

Radials generally will always weigh less cause the insert of the uniloc weighs about 0.5 ounces.
