As a kid, I grew up playing 15 ball rotation as the game of choice in my area, followed by 8 ball, 9 ball and pill pool.
At that time, we did not play call shot in any of the games, except for the 8 in 8 ball.
Has anybody played 15 ball rotation as a call shot game? I'm thinking that might be a very interesting variation for players above the banger level.
