If you know about TAD Cues, you must know that older TADs that are made by Tad Kohara himself hits really sweet.
Here is a 1960s vintage TAD in all original condition was authenticated by his son (Fred) in 2019.
This cue features a nicely figured birdseye maple with ebony points. Birdseye maple buttsleeve with ebony windowed inlays. Traditional diamond inlays in the ebony points and buttsleeve's windows. Four laminates (white/red/white/purple). Thick old-school TAD silver rings. 5/16x18 piloted SS joint. Cortland linen wrap.
This cue comes with one original shaft (ivory ferrule). The other shaft was made by Jerry Power of Jerico Cues with TAD's specs. As you may know old TADs are usually around 57.5-57.75 inches long. I had Fred made two extra 30-inches shafts, so I'll have a total length of 58.5 inches, which is today's TADs standard length.
The finish, wrap, etc are in all original condition. As you may know TAD's finish are thinner than usual "Clear Coat" finish other cuemakers uses, they will eventually go thinner and fell off, so this cue has this really vintagy old-school satin finish all over the cue's butt.
