Butt weighs 15.8oz and measures 1.280 at the butt and .828 at the joint.
Shaft #1 weighs 3.85 oz, measures 12.2mm at the ferrule and is Ivory
Shaft #2 weighs 3.94 oz, measures 12.4mm at the ferrule and appears to be IBM or Ivorine
Been a while since I've been on here. I opened a new room in Yuba City, CA called Gold Rush Billiards (I also own Gold Rush Custom Cues). One of my customers came in the other day with his grandfather's cues, which he wasn't sure if he wanted to sell, but we worked a deal on this one. Said his grandfather was a player from the Bay Area and had passed away a few years ago. I don't know much more about the history of this cue, other than his name was Al. Last name started with an S, but I couldn't spell what he was pronouncing to me if I tried!!! LOL. This cue was stored in an old Fellini case with the initials ALS on it, but he didn't want to part with the case.
So condition of this old one is pretty good, couple of minor dings and scratches in the butt, so refinishing it would be recommended. I talked to Richard a few days ago about this and he told me $390 to respray and wrap with linen, 3-4 week turn around. I would love to refinish it myself, But Richard will not authenticate it if his signature is removed. So there it is, any questions please feel free to call, text or PM me.
Price is $1,500. Open to trades........ Thanks, Kevin.
