Yep, it's on! Mike before he became "The Mouth", and Johnny before he became so conservative!
thanks! caught it. :) then saw an old bowling tourny for $100k and that unfortunately reminded me of how little pool players got paid comparatively.

He was lint picking back then as well. It just got worse over the years.
I noticed that Sigel was using a Ginacue, well thats what it looked like to me. I always thought Mike played with a Joss during much of his career.

VIP,

That shot where Johnny hooked himself probably turned him into a lint picker...:)

Could be, just could be.:) The thing I noticed, though, is that at that stage of the match, when the outcome clearly rode on each and every shot, he definitely slowed down from his previous rhythm, and his cueball control was suddenly not as solid as before. Getting hooked behind the seven on the five ball only came into the picture because Johnny got out of line on an easy position shot to the four. The point, as many of us have noted here, is that although Johnny is without question playing great pool, I believe that he could be playing even better if he picked up the pace just a little bit.

All that aside, though, it was real nice to again see a younger Johnny playing against Sigel in his prime. I"m gonna have to get that tape from Accu-stats!
