1997 Richard Harris - Bluegrass for sale

You are dead on Hal!!

If you don't care about the mismatched joint and only about the playability of the cue, then you don't have to get an extra shaft. I'm sure a new shaft will look very close to the original color wise. I have seen a few new shafts next to the old ones, and they look pretty good.

Yes, the old brown linen joint material is not available anymore so you get that ugly tan or biege material now............

Cyrus,

Here are some pictures of my latest creation that Richard is making. It's an amboyna burl segmented handle cue with ebony forearm and amboyna burl points with 2 recut points of ebony and maple. The butt sleeve will be ebony with amboyna burl windows with a ivory border and ivory diamonds bewteen the windows.

There are 9 pictures in all.

I just got the pic from Richard that he showed how he design the segment handle on his cue. I collect many fancy Bluegrass cues pics on my website, maybe you are interested, just click the topic to see the pics, I guess you can not read Chinese.. http://www.cyruscues.com/viewforum.php?f=36

I have visited your site before...some very nice cues on there. I have seen most of the newer Bluegrass cues on there in person..his personal playing cue is absolutely beautiful to see in real life:)
