Mike,
Is is still free for women to enter the amateur event, or is that for the open only and can you play in both?
Also the tour card is 20.00 right?

Cuechick, the free entries only apply to the Open events. And yes, the TC is still only $20.

so could you enter the amatuer and the open?

Most players can and should enter both. There are certain restrictions for the Amateur event ( if you ever took 1st or 2nd in and Viking, SE, Joss or Planet-Pool event or if you are known to be a top player in your area or have been ranked on the WPBA, UPA, WPA, IPT- except Aaron Czetli - LOL or any other professional organization) forget about even thinking about entering the amateur event. Just about everyone else is welcome.

Hey Mike, does this mean that I play worse than Bernie Friend?

I've never seem him play but according to the IPT you play almost 3X's as good.

based on the last IPT stats..

Al-fahl Amir = 5 BR / 38.14 GW% / $7,000 TPM
Friend = 0 BR / 13.51 GW% / $7,000 TPM

Al-fahl, the above does not take into account the calibur of opponents you were up against so the % may be tainted.

Ps. Also, it looks like Bernie can play in the Viking Amateur events to.
