2 shafts, 2 different hits

Ok, i bought a Espiritu off a friend who isnt going to be able to shoot pool anymore, and i was using his cue, which is basically the same as mine just mine has Birdseye windows on the butt and a different wrap.

Yet, when i use his cue, it has alot stiffer hit. Now there is a Le-pro tip on the cue i just bought and i have a Moori Med on mine.

Now i wouldnt think that just having a different tip would change the hit of a cue, but i could be wrong.

But is this common to buy another shaft or the same kinda cue, and have the same shaft play differently?

Yes, it is common, Even if the maker cored all of his or her cues, and the shafts and tapers are the same, it still doesn't mean they will play the same. Every shaft has it's own natural harmonics, they could be exactly identical and still play different, I have seen this even on Predators.

See, i am just wondering if its the difference of the tip, that is the difference?

Cuz when i use my cue with the Moori tip it has a softer feel. Instead of when you use a hard tip.

but i plan on putting a Moori Med tip on the new shaft in a week or two. So i dont hafta worry about it.

Yes, a tip can change the feel and sound.

Different glue will make different sounds, as well. Sounds strange, to some degree, but I experimented with it and there is no doubt...
