I'm not sure of best dates... But maybe we can do something fun in Fargo the few days before your event...

Awesome news! I've been wanting to play in your tournament for awhile so now no excuses. Make a nice trip to hit something at Fargo and then on to your tournament. As far as dates, you are a head of the curve. I would schedule your tournament and then let other promoters work around your dates. It will be hard to compete against a 20 to 25 thousand added event.
The big tournament around that time is the US Open 9-ball which was held last year the last week in October. I'm not sure of the status of the Open next year. The APA US Amateur is held on the weekends of Sept. 23 - 26 prelims and Nov 2 - 6 Finals.

Checkout the WPA calendar (http://wpa-pool.com/web/sports_calendar) for a few fall events already scheduled such as the World Cup and World 9 Ball, if you are looking to draw some of the top tier guys. Also, although not on there, it looks like there is a Turning Stone that overlaps those China Open dates. Plus the already mentioned US Open and that American 14.1 (Maryland/VA) event that are neither on that calendar yet.
Did you guys ever figure out how to get some Diamond tables in there for this event?

Am also looking for a fresh pheasant to eat. Turkeys are out; besides them making me sleepy, some people think they are neighborhood pets.

You might consider checking with Ray Hansen about tournament dates. He pretty much knows what's going on for the year.

Oct 7-9th are the tentative dates for the Chinook Winds 10b event. The last few events have had some decent pro draws it seems.

$25,000.00 added men's 8ball tournament to be held September 2016 at 4 Bears Casino and Lodge.
General manager, (Pat Packineau ) has been a long time supporter of the Kelly demeray/4 Bears 8ball classic and has added more added money to the tournament, this year will be our 25th year putting on the classic.
As always the committee will start working to secure sponsors, donations, and fundraising so that we can add even more to this coming years event.
We will be holding a mini 9ball tournament before the main 8ball tournament.

2nd chance men's $1000 + added
2nd chance women's $1000 + added
Minister 9ball $2500 + ADDED

I have NEVER heard of a $25,000.00 added 8 Ball tournament. THIS IS INCREDIBLE!
