For Immediate Release, 2004 U.S.Open 9-Ball Championships

I'm Back for Good! I am looking forward again to seeing all of my friends at my 29th annual U.S.Open 9-Ball Championships, September 6-12, 2004.

The VIP seating is probably my best idea in years which enables those who plan to attend all week, or only Tuesday-Sunday, Wednesday-Sunday, Thursday-Sunday, or Friday-Sunday to pay pro-rated prices. You, My Fans, are #1. You asked and I delivered. Purchase tickets beginning April 1st, 2004 on a first come, first serve basis, LIVE in Real Time, on the World Wide Web.

The U.S.Open has a New Home on the web, www.usopen9ballchampionships.com, which will house the latest news, updates and more. The NEW site was built by my son, Brady Behrman, PoolSites.net and it's good to have him by my side again. Sign Up, Purchase Your Designated VIP Seats and get all the information including Hotel Arrangements all via the Web.

The U.S.Open Player Entry Fee is $500.00. After September 1, 2004 the entry is $550.00. No Exceptions.

$50,000 Added Minimum and with a Full Field of 256, I will add $72,000.00 which equals a Total Prize fund of $200,000.00 with the Champion taking home $40,000.00. With a Full Field, 96 Players will be paid.

I am asking ALL room owners for their support for as many U.S.Open Qualifiers to hopefully fill up the Field. Those interested in hosting qualifiers, please use the "Qualifier Form" at www.usopen9ballchampionships.com . I won't be happy until the field is FULL again.

Again, I am looking forward to conducting the Best field of Players ever assembled and looking forward to seeing all the GREAT players from the US and Foreign Countries also.

My Sponsors (Diamond Billiard Products, Simonis Cloth, Aramith Balls, Billiard Club Network, Accu-Stats) and myself wish everyone a safe journey to and from and lets keep our fingers crossed that the Hurricane season will bypass this years event.

The support I had Last Year has made me a much stronger person that has changed my life for Good! I will be working diligently to fulfill everyone's needs and again thank you for your continued support of my event.

Barry,

Great to see you are back. We'll be there. Thanks for the update.

Best Wishes, Jerry

Barry, I havn't had the pleasure of attending your event, but if all goes well i'll see you in Sept. Sam

Barry,

I think the worst has to be behind you now, after all, you went through a hurricane and managed to still pull it off! Good luck, and I hope this next Open will be the best ever!

i'm not sure i understand about having room owners host qualifiers??? i thought if you had $500 and a cue you could play in the U.S. Open? i am thinking of doing it myself this year.

whats up here?

the OPEN is OPEN to ANYONE! The qualifiers add more excitement and involves more people. My father wants to let the pool rooms be involved as he has always done.

My dad will always have the Open truly Open to all, No exceptions.

thanks for the Post, I will make sure it is clear on the site and I appreciate how you interpreted it.

I believe the qualifiers are for the players who don't want to or can't just pay the entry fee. They win a qualifier and win the paid entry into the event. I believe the field is still open to anyone who wants to play. Sam
