Here's the link for live 3-cushion streaming this weekend from the 2010 Doral Billiards Open in Miami, FL Nov. 12-14:

Matches start at 9:30am EST this morning and will run until 7pm or so. There are 20 players split into two round robin flights of 10 for the preliminaries. Top 4 players from each group advance to the finals, along with an auction and a lotto spot for a total of 10 finalists. Finals are a form of single elimination (I'll try to post details later).

I'll try to post a complete player list later as well, but it's a strong field that will provide a lot of good match-ups. Players at the event include current US champion Jae Hyung Cho; former US champions Pedro Piedrabuena, Hugo Patino, Miguel Torres, Sonny Cho and Carlos Hallon; and Ecuadorian champion Luis Aveiga.

I'm running the stream with my camera and laptop, and I'm playing in the event as well. If the feed goes down while I'm in a match, I may not notice right away so please be patient!

Raiford, Great. Thank for doing this for AZers' and the Carom World.
Two Questions.
How can we off set your cost, for live streaming? As in donation?
Will the match be recorded for later viewing?

Thanks for the generous offer, Bob, but Doral Billiards and I are happy to provide the stream for everybody. This is my first time doing it, so I'm just happy to even get it sort-of working to begin with. :)

Henry Ugartechea (USBA Southeast Director) will be helping with the streaming for the rest of the weekend as well. We worked out the audio issue tonight using his computer, and also figured out how to record the matches so they'll be available later on the Ustream channel. Unfortunately, none of today's matches were recorded, and there were some good ones :(
