3 Ball Rule

Playing a round of golf is always a good ring game too. Just a modified 3 ball. Couple bucks a hole keeps things friendly

We always play that 5 is the most anyone could score. No matter what happens, 5 is the max number. Played it that way since the 80's all over the place...

3 or 4 was typically what the first two or three guys (in at least a 7 or 8 man game) would tie and make that 'the number to beat'.

The guys that would shoot after the score was officially tied would sometimes come up with some craaaaaaaazy shots to try and beat that 3 or 4.

Usually, when the score was already tied at 3, we'd look at the guy shooting and (if he'd made one on his break and kept the cue ball on the table), "If you can't make 'em both in one shot, save the balls".

This was when we would play on the coin-op tables. Drop pockets, anything goes... :-)
