I said in another thread that this cue was too expensive, but it will just take a couple checks and I know with the lessons I'll be getting and the practice I'll put into it, I'll be able to make the money back while @ college. I think that it definitely will be worth it.

OK, here are my questions.

1) 314 shaft or z shaft w/ the predator 2?

2) Is the ultra-leather wrap really worth the extra money?

edit: 3) What are the differences in all of the tips available for them (@ seyberts)?

Please don't buy a cue without playing with it (or at least one from the same manufacturer) first. I have about four cues that I bought online when I first started playing, and they're collecting dust. What a waste of ALOT of money. Disregard this post if you have played with a pred. and liked it.
~DC~~~can I turn back time?~~

Thanks! Yes, I am definitely going to look around for a pred cue to hit with before I make the purchase. I'll just look around the poolhall and try to spot one, or maybe Mr. Wilson will have one when I go to take lessons.

Predator P2

I just picked up the Leopard / Tiger stripe maple P2 for a girl and haven't heard from her. It has the 314 shaft and leather wrap, 19 oz. If you play with one and like it, let me know, hell of a deal here. Never been out of the plastic.

I Play with a 314 or a z depending on how in control of my storke I am. Sloppy and its 314 but if I feel I can cut a hair with a switchblade its all z baby. To reiterate whats been said do not and I repeat not order a predator without giving it a whirl. It took me almost 8 months to get back to where I was before my custom falcon was stolen. Now I dont have a p2 butt but a 3k5. My buddy shoots with a p2 (all black like you like) and I love it when Im sober but hate and I mean hate it when Ive had some liquid courage. Definitely more finesse required as its so balanced it feels effortless to storke it. He by the way may be selling it. I will ask. (he is not playing league next year)

I would love a chance @ a used one! The cheaper the better, these suckers are expensive for a 18 yr old with a summer job :D

Damn....just when we had you talked into accepting your old man's Meucci.
What are the guys gonna say in the pool room now when they see the leather wrap on this thing and the fact that you might even shoot WORSE with it? (and that's no bullshit about the worse either)

Uhhhhh......can we interest you in girls with the money that's burning a hole in your pocket and just play with the Meucci a while longer? Trust me...it'll be a whole (maybe the correct spelling is hole) lot more fun!

lol, trust me. i'm definitely ok when it comes to girls, and i keep money aside just for them :)

i don't have a "typical" summer job. it's 40 hours a week @ 12.50/hr so i'm not hurting for money (no insurance payments or anything, just money for me...... and the government.... and my roth ira)

Just talked to my buddy and now it seems that he is going to keep it for a bit. Sorry. I think he just gets frustrated because its a cue that requires that you put in time with it. He has not been practicing that much and just cause you have a nice cue does not mean you dont have to practice duh! He got his cause of mine but I know alot of others that would just use that mucci if the had one given to them. To each his own and I respect that alot.

I shoot with a z shaft on my p2. I love it, but it does require alot of controle. It applies alot of spin. The big things that i like from my Z shaft are

1. It will out draw my 314 shaft by almost a foot on the same shot

2. When jacking up off of the rail it is awesome

3. it is very accurate when cutting a ball at an extreme angle

Well obviously from the above post, it sure doesn't help your position...

Thanks,

1. I thought it was best to draw to a specific spot, regardless of the shaft

2. Try practicing with 15 balls on the table and never touching a rail

3. This goes back to #1...if you didn't get so much spin you'd have much
smaller angles and be able to work the CB better

This shaft just sounds like too much work and thought.
