As I had stated before I'm new to league this session and was wondering how rare this is. On my 9-ball team last night I sank the 9 twice in a row. Everyone was pretty shocked but I ended up losing. Kinda fluke, but no big deal. Then my brother in-law shoots 4th on our team and ended his match with 3 straight 9 ball sinks along with other balls. Again, I'm not saying this is a record but 5 9-ball sinks for a team in a single night coming from only 2 players has gotta be kinda rare right?

It should be rare, but is actually very common on a table that is not racking right. Rackers need to verify that the two balls behind the 9-ball are actually touching the 9; if not, the 9 has a tendency to go straight toward a bottom corner pocket. If the 9 is dropping frequently into one of the bottom corners, there is almost certainly a problem with the rack

Funny I seen this thread. Tonight during leagues our team had a combined 9, 9 on the snaps. I had 4, 1 had 3 and the other 2 were done by single players. The only shooter that didn't do it was my girlfriend and she doesn't break hard so it would never have a chance. All were done by the same BK2 Sport. Must have hit the on button by accident and never turned it off!

I've had single drops more than I can even begin to count. I've had doubles quite a few times and I've had one triple. The odds really aren't that sky high though if the rack isn't right.

I guess this is more common than I thought. I'll take extra care to make sure those 2 behind the 9 are tight. Thx

A friend of mine in a race to five ran the first two racks and then made the nine on the snap the next three games. He made it on the break again in the first rack of his next set. Four in a row!

Back in 2007 when I played APA I was playing the best APA player in our area some 9-ball in the MVP tournament on bar tables. The first three racks I broke the 9 in and did it two more times over the course of the match. The table was definitely not racking right :)

Many years ago I was playing a race to five for the time and made the nine on the break all five racks in a row. It must have been the quickest race to five ever and cost my opponent about 50 cents in table time.

When people ask my high run in nine ball I always wonder if this five pack counts.

It was a Break, Break, Break, Break and Break run.
