Have any of you guys ever shot with a 5280, I dont ever hear to much about them. I would appreciate any info on them.

I've shot with a few of them. Nothing special, just slightly better than a players cue IMO.

I had a 5280 sneaky pete and thought it was a nice cue, for a beginner - intermediate type of players.

The only thing i can say thats a bit annoying is sometimes the ferrules and shafts dont match up just right, so you can feel where its off. But i havent heard of anyone ever complain about thier play-ability.

Another thing, is the cues come with the Tiger Redline tip which is rock hard, and itsnt for everyone. So unless you like a hard layer tip, that would be something to change.

We sell 5280 cues in our billiard parlor. I think for an intermediate cue they shoot pretty decent. They have some decent designs and some nice cues for those that dont like wraps. We have only had one cue with a factory defect and the manufacturer took care of it quickly. I think ALL cues are mostly personal choice, within your budget. Just find a local dealer that will let you try out the cue first before buying. Good luck.

I really like the way they look. I think the joint is a little funky on them though. I've never shot with one so I don't know how they play. I wouldn't buy one just becusae I don't like the joint.

I believe they have a wood to wood hit. I hit with one and its ok and I like it enough to play with. I just really like the hit of a joss or falcon to change.

I really like the way Falcon's hit. Atleast the one or two that I've actually hit balls with for any length of time. I have a Joss and a Schon right now, and I think the Falcon "feels" (balance?) more like my Schon then a Joss.. just my .02
