Here's a beautiful 6 point cue from Paul Dayton.

Shaft #2 is 3.9ounce and 12.9mm
I believe the darker shaft may be old growth, very stiff hit.

Had the Cue cleaned and shined today

This is the email from Ken this evening, KRBSailing here on AZ

Got the cue cleaned up…..wasn’t a big deal ~ you owe me a Rum & Coke!

The cue doesn’t have any significant issues IMHO; a few very light scuff marks on the buttsleeve; it might be some finish (bubbling) issues forming (not sure); the shafts are fine – the old growth shaft has a couple bumps in it that if you wanted could probably be easily removed with some wet cotton and rubber bands (then have to burnish it). The cue appears to roll perfectly straight with either shaft attached; however, I can see a very slight variance at the joint when I just roll the butt of the cue by itself across the table – seems to disappear with either shaft attached!?

I polished the butt/handle and it looks really nice at 15.28 oz! The one #1 shaft was very lightly played; looks to be a Triangle tip?.....3.92 oz at 13.16mm. The #2 “old growth” shaft is 3.60 oz at 12.89mm with a Tals (M) I think!? – it has a couple of very minor bumps that could be easily removed with a little wet cotton!? then burnished…..I did not wax either shaft. The cue balances out at approx. 19.75” from the buttend with the lighter “old growth” shaft.
I honestly think the cue plays “lights-out”! Somebody is going to love this cue for sure.

Thanks to Ken for his fine work and honest opinion.
