60 more hours of practice!

Rude Dog

<---Dumb and Dumber
One more week til the U.S Open and I plan on putting a whole lotta practice time in to be ready. I've narrowed it down to my break, position play, pocketing balls, safeties, kicks, and banks. Everything else is rock solid, LOL. The butterflies are already there, swirling around, wreaking havoc inside this keg-uva-belly I got. My break let me down on Saturday in a bar table tournament in Phoenix, so I'll be working on that. My speed control was off too, but I expected that because of the table I practice on. I'll be okay when I get there and hit some balls for an hour or 2. So, how many AzBilliard Forum members will I have the pleasure of meeting at the Open? Maybe we can have an AzBilliard Member dinner party? Peace everyone!

John, I'm covered up with work but still planning on trying to come and sweat some matches. Don't know what days yet but sure you'll be in stroke and slaying em all. Hope to see all you guys there. Sam

US Open Players Update 8/02/04

I was going to try and make it down but my wife said I have to wash my socks that week. What to do, What to do?????? I guess I could go without socks. I will be the barefoot guy at the Holiday Inn Sunday in the lounge. I will see you there BAZARUS and get the room squared away. I will probably pick John up at the airport at 7:29 PM. Hope to see you all there.
Purdman

I'll be there, Rude Dog. I'll be arriving Wednesday, and expect you to still be in it when I get there!

Hey R-Dog,

I get there on Friday. I'm expecting you to still be in it and I'll get over to sweat your match.

Good luck.

Eric

Especially the croissant rolls and the buttermilk rolls. I'd hate to hear of you getting bad rolls while on the road. :D

Thank you runmout. Yes, this is definitely the biggest tournament that I'll ever play in. Unless there's a bigger one available? If I play good at this one, I guess I'll find out, huh. Peace.

Glad to know everything else is rock solid LOL
Use those butterflies to your advantage and remind yourself that
they are there for a reason. You would not be nervous if you knew you could not win. In pool one things for sure. No matter how good your opponnet is he has to sit and watch while you do your thing.
Good Luck

One more week til the U.S Open ...

I wish to hell I could be there, but I think I used up my wife's pool allowance for me (not to mention cost and vaca days) when I went to Vegas for the APA thing. Best of luck there, do the best you can, and most of all enjoy yourself. You've no obligation to those of us who have donated a buck or two, so don't let that get you uptight. If you want to be a little uptight about playing the likes of Reyes and Strickland, well thats different. :D
I wish I could meet you and others, but "c'est la vie". Maybe we'll be able to meet some other time, some other place when your leash is removed.
Give 'em hell!!!!!!!!!!

Let me see, what kind of words of wisdom can I offer? Hmmmm, it can't be advice on playing. I'm not quite good enough to give that. Maybe philosophical, naaa, that's stupid shit anyway. Oh, I've got it!!!!

After you find out who your playing in the first round, He'll probably be going to the rest room to wash his hands. Make sure you have a two by six about 8' long board propped up on the first toilet seat. He'll be curious about it. When he goes over to take a look, push him off the board and flush.

Dead men not only 'tell no tales', but also forfeit the first match!!

Have a good time all. Wish I could be there.

Thanks Trevor. Maybe I'll stop after the first 3, play a match to get the suspicion away from me, and then do it again to get in the money. Whatcha think?
