i found that setting up a force follow break ball is not always advantageous on an 8' table. oftentimes i get too many balls open and the size of the table becomes a hindrance rather than an asset. today i smashed the rack, kept my cue down-table, balls everywhere but nothing to shoot. for this reason i had better runs on my old 9' gold crown. i may have to start setting up milder break balls and "tea totaling" my break shots. a smaller table does NOT necessarily mean easier play.
