I have a old Joss cue (gold logos on both shaft & joint) for sale. I believe it's from 80's. It was given to me from my friend about 10 years ago, and it has been in my storage since then. The butt cap is replaced with delrin, and the handle is re-wrapped. It has two shafts, and one is original and the other one is Joss or Adam(I was told when I received it but I forgot....sorry). Both shafts' ferrules are also replaced with ivory. Here are the specs;

Forearm: Bird's Eye Maple with 4 points
Length: 57"
Weight: approximately 18 -18.5oz
Shaft: 2 shafts (original: approximately 12.0-12.2mm, extra: approximately 12.5-12.75mm.)
Note: It's a used cue from 80's so the both shafts wobble when these are rolled on the table.

Asking $495 shipped. PM me if interested.

Good luck with the sale. I have a Joss of from the mid 80's, similiar to this style and will never get rid of it. The feel is great. Hit is nice, bit soft lots of english with minimal effort. I sent it back to Joss to get redone (awesome work) and consider it my right hand. I still get offers upwards of $600 for mine once someone hits with it.

Thanks! In my opinion, many cues from 80's to early 90's are better (hitting, feeling..)than recent cues. I've played with some old cues like Joss, Meucci, also custom cues like JossWest, Samsara, Tad, Richard Black, etc... Those are awesome!!

You are welcome. I tend to agree about the older cues. Not to take away from the newer cues or their quality. I would love to have a Richard Black, Tad, Samsara, etc either new or old.

Call me crazy but I look at the older cues like classical instruments. They were built back when the sport of pool/billiards wasn't so wildly known and capitalist (commercialized may be a better word). I think they were made for true players back then and not for anyone that could afford one to have one. They were made for intent. I hope I explained that well and didn't mean to highjack your thread.

I have 2 1985 joss cues, that were custom for Earl Strickland and Nick Varner. They are extra solid playing cues. That cue looks like an early 80's model. Nice cue though=)Good Luck!
