Sharing interesting 9 ball multiplayer money game that we play in this part of world. I find this fun and serious at same time. Please ignore if you already know about it.

No of players - up to 4. More than 4 will be crowd but there is no such cap.

Rules: Standard 9 ball rules except below:
1. No push out after break shot.
2. You can't snooker after ball in hand i.e next player should be able to see both side of the object ball.

Money:
- Player who break and run gets $3 each from rest of the players.
- Any foul previous player in the sequence gets $1.
- Player who wins the frame gets $2 from previous player in the sequence.

Game scenario:
Assuming 3 players playing and the initial sequence is (decided via leg): P1, P2, P3.

P1 breaks.
- If break and run. P1 get $3 each from P2, P3.
- Foul on break/any stage while P1 on table - P3 gets $1.
- Dry break/P1 fails to make ball table control goes to P2.

P2 on table:
- P2 clears table. P2 gets $2 from P1.
- Any foul P1 gets $1.
- If P2 can't clear table control goes to P3.

P3 on table:-
- P3 clears table. he gets $2 from P2.
- Any foul P2 gets $1.
- If P3 can't clear table control goes to P1.

and game continues.

Next sequence:
Winner of last fame to break, loser play second. e.g if P2 won in above scenario the next sequence will be:

P2, P1, P3

Hope this is not confusing

Where I come from, we call that Chinese 9-ball, except money from fouls are paid into a pot and then used to pay for table time.

what do you mean you can't snooker after ball in hand? if you miss your shot and hook the next person they get ball in hand?

I guess it is not fair on next player if you snooker after immediately BIH and game can end up in circle of fouls if allowed.

So even if you snooker accidently (after BIH) it will be considered foul.

I've never used that rule before...

Like I mentioned before, the way I play it (with fouls being paid towards table time) players don't get paid for making the next guy foul. That prevents the "circle of fouls" because players only get rewarded for running out.
