does anybody know where i could find different 9 ball layouts arranging in diffuculty? i wanted to keep the same variables when practicing. Thanks, merry christmas

there is a book called "how would you play this". It shows layouts for 14.1, 8 ball, and 9 ball.
The concepts is good. I think it is what you are after, but I feel the pictures and not the best. Some instructional books use lines are the table to make it easier to duplicate the layout. This books does not have the lines making it difficult to duplicate some shots. You do not have to set them exactly like the book. Use it as a guide.
You might also record some matches then set up the table after the break.

There used to be a whole series of threads here on AZB that did precisely this, with discussion and suggestions.

Alas, they are no longer....those threads were my favorites, and I eagerly anticipated the next one.

You can either look up the IPAT books, which have 9-ball layouts for scoring purposes, or you can find (most) of them either on youTube or pool.bz. Pool.bz has a lot of layouts from random people.

you could also use their software and generate a break layout, take it to the table and see how you do on the table versus how you planned it in your head after looking at the new layout. Which is no different than just playing 9-ball by yourself, with the addition of having a reset-point.

If you know how to use the SCREEN PRINT function on your keyboard & you know how to use M/S Paint... you can go to YouTube & get hundreds (maybe lots more than a hundreds) of 9 Ball layouts for you to practice.
