My friends at Diamond have confirmed this year the 9-ball race will be increased from 7 to 9 games.
The change supports this tournament now being a 2013 BCA points event

The format for the entire event remains the same with 9-Ball starting at 1:00 PM on Wednesday and completing Saturday nite.
The extended match length may require a longer playing day with some matches beginning as early as 9:00 AM or playing as late as midnight.
Playing times for early morning matches are posted the night before by midnight on the hotel TV's and on DCCTickets.com.
I'm looking forward to this change bringing in more top pros even though my path to the All Around title
may be a little harder this year than all the previous years I didn't win it either!
