The case is a Phillip Tieu 2x4 Black Leather Backpack case, with silver pin-stripping.
About two years ago, some of the black "shiny finish" or "lacquer" began to flake at the base of the pocket and around the bottom of the snap-on top. Roughly a year ago, I contacted Phillip about this and with his guidance and advise, as well as the guidance and advise of a leather worker here in town, I reapplied this finish. With this, the bottom of the pocket looks fine as does the case top, but the case top does show signs of were the finish was reapplied. Both areas are hard to see unless you're in harsh lighting (i.e. camera flashes) or direct sunlight.
