A fun way to practice...

Hi people,
I have been back playing lately and trying to run some balls. I get bored easy, and without a BIG goal or an opponent I lose interest quickly. So, here's what I did today during practice.

run 1 thru 3. >>>Old school style, no risk, control, slower pace. 37/12/78.

run 4 thru 6 >>>New school "Euro" style, more wide open, hit break shots harder, more CB movement, faster pace. 44/80/1.

run 7 thru 9 >>>No standard breakers! I play however I want, but can't use standard break shots. 11/9/106!

So, I think what I am getting at is if I have something to think about besides just running balls I play better?!Which means I have ADD or just a short attention span? :) During the 106 I wore out the side pocket breaker, and just kept leaving the CB in the rack for ball in hand on the next rack......works well!

have fun,

G.

Interesting approach. I especially like #3. Seems like it would force you to look for different patterns. Good way to stay sharp.

What do you consider a "standard break shot"? Just the corner pocket side of the stack shot?

yea T,

Standard breakers to me are next to the rack, and behind the rack. So, I like to try hangers in the bottom corners, anything in the center of the table, and the tough ones are, but real good breakers.....one diamond up from the corner, next to the rack, on the rail.....these can work out well.....or leave you glued to the end rail! :)
