It's located in Cordele about 50 miles or so south of Macon, calle the Pool Room aka Cordele Recreational Parlor. It's located at the intersection of 7'th Street and 11'th Avenue and hours run from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.. They serve great chili dogs and irish stew - the latter for only $1.50 a bowl. Table time is only $3.60 and people there seem really friendly.

old pool hall

yes it is a poolroom of the past, great hotdogs, but no ficilitys for the lady the wife and i stopped there 2years agoon way home from bolixie . ther is another old room with good hotdogs in abbivile s.c. try it some time STICK :) :) :) :)

For the best Chili Dogs, try the Pool Room in downtown Ellijay, Georgia. They make their own chili from scratch. They used to have more tables than they do now as they closed off half of the pool room. The pool room has been there for decades. It was even lost once in a card game. That part of town has a lot of antique shops and such so stop by sometime if you and your wife go to the mountains.

Stick,

The poolroom in Abbeville is called "The Roughhouse". The guy there told me that they installed the tables in 1939, I believe. We used to go to a few tournaments there a few years back.

They do have excellent hot dogs. All the people who work downtown there go to the Roughhouse for lunch.
