A pool story

When I was a kid growing up on Long Island, NY. My older brother John would take me up to the Smithtown pool room located on Main St in Smithtown. I remember the room had appox 20 Gold Crown I tables with white frames & different color cloth. I always enjoyed going there with my brother.
When I got out of the Army in the 70's. I went to live back home going to college. One day, I decided to go to the Smithtown pool room and shoot some pool remembering the good times that I had. Well, I pull in the parking lot, look across the road and there it is. A giant sign "Smithtown Billiards" on top of the building. There were pool balls painted on the windows. I grabbed my cue, walked across the street. It was a great day that day and when I opened the door & stepped in, it took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust. When they did, I observed a whole bunch of clothes racks with women shopping, looking threw the racks. I almost fell over. My heart sank & I almost felt like crying. There I was standing there with a cue in my hands with a bunch of women looking at me. I will never forget that.
Years later when I was watching the "Color of Money" Eddie took Vincent to a room and the same thing was played out in the movie but this time it was an empty warehouse. That scene really brings back memories.
