Do the players that appear in Accu-Stats videos and DVDs receive any amount of payment from Accu-Stats? Also, do they have to sign a waiver allowing Accu-Stats to use them?

I believe the answer is "Yes" to both of your questions.

I've not heard any specifics, but I've heard that the reason AccuStats has been so successful over the years is because they compensate the players for the sales of their matches. I'm not sure about the waiver...it may be part of their entry into the tournaments/tours.

I don't think they pay the players at all. I know I've never gotten a check from them, but I guess nobody bought my tapes. And Pat Flemming was president of the players association once upon a time.

I once had a match with Strickland at the U.S. Open scheduled for a table being taped by Accu-Stats. Earl refused to play on that table because of the issue of compensation.

But how about seeing Tony Ellin playing on ESPN Classic. I'm sure his kid could use some money from those shows. I guess they just keep all the money for that, they can't be paying the PBTA and Don Mackey can they?

I think they used to get like a $1.00 a unit sold.
