Is Reed Pierce a cripple at one pocket or something? I mean JDH is good, but is he good enough to give a former US Open 9-ball champ 9-7?
Backpocket, I agree.But One pocket is a game of moves so maybe JDH figures he can out move Reed.I hear he plays one pocket pretty swift.Ive only seen him play 10 ball or 9 ball.Plus at 8 ahead it could be a stamina thing.JDH can go for a very long time as Ive watched him run down Tony W in Louisville over a couple days as well as here in Indy when he was constantly in action.I just would like to be there to watch it all.lol

Acion Started at 9:00 pm. At 3:00 am Reed Pierce was on the Hill. It is now 11:00 am Thurs. and Reed broke the balls and is 3 ahead . John needs 1 ball and Reed needs 5 Looks like Reed will be (2) ahead with John Breaking. Later, on my way to Mobile. Buddy Hall is on his way to challenge the winner.

? If so, I watched him in Vegas with Scott Frost even. You guys are so lucky to have young players of that caliber to watch and learn from!!!!

Just got back from Mobile. After 25 hrs. of play Reed Pierce came out 2 games winner $3750.00 Reed was on the Hill twice but John Hagar Jr. showing heart and kept fighting back. John said he got some bad info. that Reed could not play One Pocket. Said he felt like a Winner only losing 2 games.
John was down 4 games when he called a foul on Reed (Reed was cutting a ball and was leaning over the 5 ball with his shirt on the 5. John told Reed that his shirt was on the 5 and Reed said he would tuck it in. John said that if the cue ball comes back in the path of the 5 and hits the 5 it is a foul.) Before the game they agreed that you could not touch any balls. Anyway the cue came back and hit the 5 ball, John called a foul and Reed started screaming that it was not a foul and kept screaming. John gave in and said that if he didn't Reed would probably quit winning 4 games. At this point Reed was 4 games up, needed 2 Balls with John needing 11 balls. John won the game and screamed that Justice was served and the Pool Gods saw what happened with 20 other spectators. He then won the next game and paid off. Great match and some great shooting.

Any longtime poolplayer knows that a shirt foul isn't called on 'no iron', 'wash 'n wear' shirts. Only 100% cotton shirts can cause a shirt foul.
I'm aghast ! It sounds like a 'shirt move' to me.

Now I'm really confused. I spoke to John and he said he had on a RAYON shirt. I can't find anything in the rule book on Rayon. Please help in case I run into this again... Casey
