adding weight to scruggs sneaky pete

It would probably throw the balance off. The best thing you could do is get in touch with the maker and see if he could do it.

does anyone know if this can be done and how. Thanks
If you remove the butt cap you'll find a weight bolt in there. I would assume you could buy a heavier one from Tim Scruggs.

This may not work. Tim makes many of his cues with no weight bolt.

BTW, since Scruggs cues are some of the best balanced cues around, I don't think I would want to mess with adding weight. JMHO.

you're probably right about that...it's just that this cue only weighs about 18.25 ozs and thats just too light for me. I'll give Tim a call and see what he says. Thanks

That is the smartest thing to do. Tim is the man who would know best. :D
I just spoke to tim a minute ago and he said he can add weight to the cue but I have to send it to him...he said probably has to drill it out to do it correctly. Thanks for the help guys. It's nice having a bunch of pool junkies around to ask these kinda questions to.

I am really suprised he didn't refer you to Bob Frey instead.

Nino, it can be done.
Problem is if it's all added down by the bumper, it will make the cue bottom heavy. A lot of sneakies become bottom heavy because there is weight added in the forearm except the pin.

Drill out a TS sneaky pete?

It just doesn't seem right to go changing one of those :) . Maybe someone (Bob Frey) would take yours in trade and make you the cue that you want. Just a thought.
