Adhesive question

Two questions, if you wouldn’t mind.

What type of adhesives are reliable for laminating shafts?
What about coring a shaft (at the joint) that has been damaged? If I drill a shaft to .600 or so, and plug it with a dowel?

Is titebond 2 a good option? I’m more of a guitar tech than a cuesmith. I just thought I’d ask the group.

Concerning the damaged shaft....Epoxy is your friend, titebond 2 will grab and lockup before you even get 1/3 of the plug into the shaft. You want a slow set epoxy, and fill the bored hole, let set for a few minutes while you coat the plug, which needs glue relief channels cut into it, along the cylinder and lengthwise. ....and then push it in, slowly to let the hydrolic pressure push out the extra epoxy/air until the plug is fully seated in the bore. You will know if it's fully seated, if you let go and the plug pushes outward....you still have some air/pressure.... push back in and hold it....until it stays on it's own. Concerning making laminated shafts....I would hold off until you have a better understanding of cue construction and types of glues/epoxies etc.....it's a big learning curve to get it right, in my opinion....are you doing flat lam, or radial lam? what sections of the wood are you using? Lots of questions need answers before proceeding.
