Anyone care to comment on their AE Cue, just picked one up recently, like the finish, wood character and great player. Camera is broken so no Pics (Wahh....) just curious with others experience since I don't see them on AZ much. Maybe too good to resell?

I've owned 3....and they were all great cues. Very nice hit to 'em. Medium in stiffness...but nice feel/feedback.

They do some really sharp work with their points and veneers. My personal favorite was a 6 point Bacote into Ebony cue with a black leather wrap and a thick Bacote Hoppe-style ring at the buttcap.

Hope your camera gets fixed, so we can all take a look!! :)

Sounds similar to my cue except for the wrap. Mine is 6 points, three high, three low, coco forearm and butt sleeve with spalted maple points/nat/blk veneers with a thick spalted maple ring between the butt sleeve and butt cap. The woods look great together. Wrap is blk/wht spec. i think it would look even better with dark brown leather. i'll post pics as soon as I can.

I've owned 5 AE cues and as Mark said they have a medium firm hit....their execution, and finish is up there with the top tier cue builders imo....Mark heres a cue thats similar to what your talking about, but mine had zebrawood points and ring....

Dale....I may have been mistaken, sir. Looking at your pics....my cue very well may have been zebrawood. Hope Bamacues sees this thread...he'd probably be able to answer that question for sure. I bought it from him, if memory serves.

Then again...I've bought a few cues over the last couple years...so they're all starting to run together!! :) ;)

Bump for more info on AE cues for the gentleman who started this thread.

Mark,

I believe this is your old cue....:p I also thought it was bacote until Jeff Fugal with AE told me it was zebrawood....

Gentleman is usually a term used loosely to describe me but, thank you. As for that cue, it does look like zebrawood. Do you have a picture of the butt? Thanks.

Thanks for your input guys, cuesblues, that's some nice lookin wood you have. Well, got a new camera, still trying to figure it out. Heres a link to some photo's, AE cue is the one on the left.

Any one else with anything to add about AEcues or pics to post?

I pick this one up from AE shop few year ago. this cue plays really nice, it doesn't play like other AE I have before, maybe is the wood itself. overall, my opinion on AE cue is they make good looking cue, sharp point, the veneer are good, the finish is top notch. anyway, enjoy the pic's.

Wow, both are nice looking cues. Thanks for the look see. The more I shoot with mine, the better I like it.

I used to play with an AE for about 8 years.

Its a great hitting Cue, the quality is top and the designs they make are very unique and beautiful.

I was always wondering why they just dont bring any $$$
and why they are so underestimated.
Is it because they are from Canada ?
