aiming on the break (8,9,10ball)

In breaking..i've watched a lot of players aim their cue at the vertical axis of the cueball-basically where the cueball touches the felt of the table. So esentially it looks as if they're cueing with low. Would it be safe to say to also look at the head ball of the rack the same way-meaning also look at where the headball touches the felt of the table-so that a breaker may be aligned center to center? If so, then how does one go about aiming with low cue ball, to bringing their cue tip up so that the cue ball doesn't essentially cause draw action forcing an exagerated draw stroke after contacting the head ball in the break? Do you take a couple of low cueing strokes and then raise the tip up with a few more practice strokes on where you plan to hit before execution?...or do you just aim low in your psr and then at the last second bring the tip of your cue up within your last stroke?

My apologies if that didn't make any sense...any input will be greatly appreciated...thank you..and good day ;)

It's called "grounding your cue" and it is a way to make sure you are on the vertical centerline of the cue ball. Raising the tip is a simple matter of a slight adjustment of your bridge hand. And yes, on the break, I generally aim for the spot where the point ball is touching the table.

I've had pros tell me that they can see the reflection of their cue tip in the CB when they ground their cue thus ensuring they are using center ball.
