alabama tournaments

There are lots of tournaments in the Alabama area. Shooters is having their once a month tournament this Saturday (as I recall). A lot of players from the Chattanooga area show up for this tournament, and there are quite a few quality players from that area (7 ft. Diamond Tables are used). Diamonds Pool Room in Chattanooga has regular tournaments also. As for Birmingham (where I live), we have Friday and Saturday night tourneys at the Birmingham Race Course and a Friday night tourney for better players at Bumpers in Hoover. There are a great number of smaller bar-room tournaments throughout the area.

Other than weekly tourneys, the Southern Billiards Tour and Tommy Kennedy's Tour come through the area on occassion. Viking just had a good tournament at the Race Track, and we hope they will return this year. Poppas Billiards also has some big tournaments now and then.
